“Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”
2 Corinthians 9:7, ESV
God is more concerned with our giving attitude, instead of how much we give. Giving small with a thankful and cheerful heart is greater than an ungrateful and reluctant heart that gives more. Our attitude reflects the heart. Giving should not be done reluctantly or under compulsion—that takes from the act of giving. God is a giving Father who blesses His children. He blessed us with the greatest gift of all, Jesus Christ our Savior!
Do you give reluctantly or cheerfully? When we give let us reflect on the goodness of God and the sacrifice of our Savior. Give what you have decided in your heart to give. If you feel reluctant, ask God to help you desire give from your heart.
