“‘I am the Alpha and the Omega,’ says the Lord God, ‘who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.’”
Revelation 1:8, NIV
Alpha and Omega means beginning and end. Alpha is the first letter of the Greek alphabet; omega is the last Greek alphabet. God is the beginning and the end of all things because He has always been. God has always been Almighty; before the beginning of the world and for all of eternity. Our minds can not even understand such things, which just is a reminder that God is God and we are not. Let us honor God for His indescribable power and all-knowing wisdom—the Ruler of the past, present, and future.
Do you need the reminder that God is your Ruler? Or maybe you need to be reminded of God’s all-knowing wisdom and power? Lean on God and not on yourself. Everything you need is found in God. You have eternal life only because God is eternal. Praise God for that!
"God has always been Almighty; before the beginning of the world and for all of eternity."
