“In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, who is the guarantee of our inheritance
until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory.”
Ephesians 1:13-14, ESV
Encouragement
When we were taught the truth and received salvation from our faith in Jesus Christ, we were sealed with the Holy Spirit that God promised. A seal indicated ownership and authority. God sealed us with the Holy Spirit in our hearts. The Holy Spirit is a fulfillment of God’s promise to dwell within His People. The Spirit is a guarantee to our future inheritance of eternal life with God. Let us live by the Spirit and obey where He leads.
