“Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.”
Ephesians 4:29, NIV
Our words should encourage others to lift them up, instead of discouraging them to tear them down. What we say can be a light to those around us and impact grace to them, if we use wholesome talk. If the words we use don’t edify those around us, we need to change our wording, in order to benefit to one who hears. May our speech be full of encouragement and edification, instead of unwholesome and corrupt talk.
Do you need to change the words you use? Think we all could do a better job with the words we use. Your words have the power to build someone up or tear them down.
