Inspire Within Daily Devotional

Daily Scripture

We live by faith, not by sight.”
2 Corinthians 5:7, NIV

Daily Encouragement

In the Merriam-Webster dictionary, Faith is defined as “belief and trust in and loyalty to God” and “firm belief in something for which there is no proof”. Faith is complete trust in God. As Christians, we live by trusting in God and being loyal to Him. We don’t live by our limited sight like the world does.

If we were to live by sight alone, we would miss out on viewing the world through spiritual eyes. Without spiritual sight, we would be tempted to believe that there is no God and not truth in Him, but with faith in God, we are able trust in Him and He can give us insight. Spiritual eyes are living through a spiritual perspective. Faith is believing without seeing. We live by our faith and truth in God, regardless of what it looks or feels like through our human perspective.

Daily Reflection

What part of your life or current life situation do you need to have faith in God? We have times in our life that we need to look to God and trust that He is in control of our situation. Do you lack seeing this life through spiritual eyes? Read James 1:5 then ask the Lord to give you knowledge and wisdom. For more about faith read Hebrews chapter 11.

Daily Quote

"Faith is complete trust in God." AND "Faith is believing without seeing."
