Finding Your Purpose with the Holy Spirit

Janee Hughes • July 30, 2020

Seeking Life is a beautifully written book

God has a special purpose for each of us! Did you know that the Fruit of the Spirit has an important role in our lives? The Spirit leads us into an intimate relationship with God. We should strive to grow more in the fruits of the Spirit, so that our lives may reflect the fruitfulness of Jesus Christ. The more we abide in Christ and trust the Lord, the more the Spirit will continue to grow the fruits of the Spirit in our lives.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.” Galatians 5:22-23, KJV

When we listen to the Holy Spirit’s wisdom and follow His leading, it can make the goodness the Lord shine through us. The fruits of the Spirit all work together to help us grow in Christ and shine Him. Our lives shine Jesus when we are fruitful through our words and actions.

What is the purpose for us in this life?

Who is the Holy Spirit in our life?

Is there more to who we are?

How do we obtain the Fruits of the Spirit?

If you have asked yourself any of these questions or questions like these, I recommend buying the book Seeking Life by Brianna Holifield. Especially if you have an interest in learning more in-depth about each fruit of the Spirit. It is a beautifully written book filled with God’s Truth. It is a great book for new believers or people who have been walking with the Lord for years. Anyone can get something valuable out of it!

Seeking Life has a chapter dedicated to each fruit of the Spirit to define what it is, why we need it, and how to obtain it. Each fruit of the Spirit chapter ends with practical ways to implement the fruit into your heart and life. The book discusses who the Holy Spirit is and the value He brings to our lives. You will be encouraged by the in-depth explanation of the connection between our purpose and the fruits of the Holy Spirit.

The Seeking Life book is put into words that make all nine fruits of the Spirit easy to understand. It is a simple read with only twelve chapters, and something to take to heart from each chapter. Scripture is quoted throughout the book, which fills the book with even more truth.

Here is a quote from the first chapter in Seeking Life:

“We have to be willing to let the Holy Spirit work in our lives to allow His fruit to grow inside us. Being filled with the fruit of the Holy Spirit means involving God in everything we do.” -Brianna Holifield

When we allow the Holy Spirit to teach and guide us, He grows His fruits inside us to changes us for the better.

The Seeking Life quote continues with this:

“According to Strong’s Concordance, the Greek word for fruit is karpos, which means that everything is done in union with Jesus Christ. The fruit (karpos) is the result of the Lord living through us, transforming us, and showing others who He is in hope that they will also choose an eternity with Him over hell.” -Brianna Holifield

The author of Seeking Life, Brianna Holifield, is a Christian writer and a lover of Jesus. Her love for Jesus Christ is so evident through her book. She believes that “Living life for Christ through the Holy Spirit is not about being perfect.” She knows that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is the only human who was ever perfect.
