Scripture
“For I know that the Lord is great, and that our Lord is above all gods.”
Psalm 135:5, ESV
Encouragement
Nothing and no one is greater than the Lord our God. Great is the Lord, for He is great! All idols are false gods. Scripture says that our Lord is above ALL gods; the Lord is the God of gods. Nothing is equal with the One True God, nor can anything or anyone compare to God.
There is no such thing as following God while following other gods. For we can’t have one foot following God and the other foot following false gods/religions. We are either wholeheartedly serving the One God or we are not.
Reflection
Do you believe that the Lord is above all gods? Scripture reveals that God is unrivaled—The One God. Read these Scriptures of our One God: Deuteronomy 6:4, Deuteronomy 4:35, Mark 12:29, and Exodus 20:3-6. The Lord is great and above all gods!
