Inspire Within Daily Devotional

Daily Scripture

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.”
 Psalm 119:105, NIV

Daily Encouragement

If you have ever walked a path in the dark, you know that it would be hard and challenging to do it without a light. Walking at night would be risky and dangerous without a light, for example you could walk into objects, trip over something, or fall into a hole. We live in a dark and sinful world. God’s Word is a light for our path. Jesus is the light of the world. (John 8:12)

The light of God’s Word is the commands within it. God's way leads us to the path of righteousness. Obeying God’s commands leads us safely and keeps us on right path. When we follow God’s Word, it can help to keep us from unnecessary stumbling, falling, and going the wrong way. Studying the Bible helps us see clear enough to follow the path that God has for us by obeying His commands. Let us study and obey the Word of God, so that we will not be lead astray from the darkness of the world.

Daily Reflection

Are you using the Bible as your ultimate guide in your life? Does your life reflect the light of Christ?
