“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.”
Hebrews 11:6, NIV
The definition of Faith can be defined as “firm belief in something for which there is no proof”. (According to Merriam-Webster Dictionary.) You must have faith to please God, but believing in God is just the beginning of knowing Him. God wants to have a personal, intimate relationship with you! To grow your relationship with God you must “earnestly seek him”. God rewards those who seek Him. God wants our trust and faith, but that doesn’t happen by only believing in Him; We must sincerely seek God and regularly walk with Him.
Another definition of Faith is “complete trust”. Faith and trust go hand-in-hand. The closer you are to God, the more complete trust you will have in Him. All relationships should be built on the three-legged table analogy: Love, Trust, and Commitment. Without one leg the table would not be supported enough to remain standing. Let us have faith in God by loving Him will all of our hearts, trusting Him with everything, and being committed to Him in every area of our life.
