“For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.”
Hebrews 4:12, NIV
Read that Scripture again. The Word of God IS living and active. The King James Version translation uses the words quick and powerful. God’s Word is more than a collection of historical writings, or just simply written words of God; It is full of life-changing literature that God works to inspire within us to change us from the inside-outside. Learning what God’s Word says can reveal who we are and what we are not.
The Bible is our Sword. It divides soul and spirit, joints and morrow, while it weighs our thoughts, attitudes, and heart. It is not just a book of Do’s and Do Not’s. The Sword penetrates to the core of our being by discerning our morals and what is within us—the good, and the bad. We must allow God’s Word to shape who we are by obeying what it says and being changed by its truth. God’s Word can change us mentally, physically, and spiritually.
Do you believe in the power of the Word of God? Are you in God’s Word consistently and regularly? Being in the Word regularly will benefit your life all-around—Mentally, Physically, and Spiritually. Think of an area of your life that you need to be transformed in. Maybe it is your thoughts or the attitudes of your heart? Or maybe you need mental or physical healing? Seek God for transformation in your life and look in His Word to be your guide. He is the only one who can change us from the inside-outside.
