Inspire Within Daily Devotional

Daily Scripture

Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.”
Colossians 3:2, NIV

Daily Encouragement

What does it mean to “set your minds on things above”? It means to concentrate on things that are eternal rather than temporary things. When we set our minds on things eternal, we focus on seeking God’s desires and living in a way pleasing to Him. We shift our focus from our limited perspective when we learn to live our life from God’s perspective.

This life isn’t always easy. Life has its hard times and challenging struggles, but we must set our hearts on the things above. By doing that, we are reminded that life is about Christ and how one day we will live in eternality with Him. Christ is all that matters in life. Let us live this life focused on Christ and how through His Perfect Life we have eternal life with Him.

Daily Reflection

Is your mind set on things eternal? Or is your focus on only earthly things? Think about an area in this temporary life that you need to shift your focus to the things above. This life is temporary. Read 2 Corinthians 4:16-18.

Daily Quote

"We shift our focus from our limited perspective when we learn to live our life from God’s perspective."
