In our society, physical fitness has much emphasis placed on it. People feel like they have to be a certain weight, have big muscles, or look a certain way. Fitness has its set of benefits for this life, but physical training has less value than spiritually training.
The Scripture says that godliness has value for all things since it has promises for the present life and the life to come. Our physical body will fade away one day, but our spiritual body will live for eternity with Christ. We must focus on Christ, what matters most in this life and the life to come, by growing in our relationship with God—following God, studying God’s Word, obeying God, worshiping God, serving God, and communicating with God daily.
"Our physical body will fade away one day, but our spiritual body will live for eternity with Christ."
